Obsidian, also known as volcanic glass originated from the magma from a volcano that cooled off too fast that the glass could not crystallize along side of its counterparts, such as Clear Quartz and Amethyst. The appearance of Obsidian displays an absolutely beautiful glossy black glass that reflects its environment. In ancient times, These gemstones were used as mirrors, and multiple carvings such as spars and used in combat.
